Free Art Workshops in Pescadero, CA

Residents in Pescadero and La Honda, CA, are taking advantage of free art workshops through a partnership with Dragonfly Community Arts and Madrone Arts.

Madrone Arts is a cooperative of professional artists in Pescadero, CA, offering curated gallery space and rotating exhibitions for artists to sell and promote their work. With grant funding from Dragonfly Community Arts, Madrone is offering free art workshops each month for the local community.

The classes include workshops for adults, seniors, and Spanish-speaking south coast residents. These 2.5-hour classes are held on Fridays, and are conducted by professional, experienced artist. Art topics change each week, so students have an opportunity to try their hand at a variety of artforms while creating community.

The Spanish-language class, “Arte en Communidad,” is held on the second Friday of each month. The adult class for residents 18 and over, takes place on the third Friday of the month. The senior art class, for residents 60 and over, are held in the afternoon on the last Friday of the month. Times and dates are subject to change. For more information, visit www.madronearts.com.

Dragonfly Community Arts thanks Madrone Arts for all its hard work and for helping to bring free, quality art opportunities to all San Mateo County residents on the coast.
